Incheon surpasses 500,000 TEU in year to May

Incheon Port handled over 500,000 TEU during the first five months of 2006.
According to IPA (Incheon Port Authority), Incheon Port handled 116,641 TEU containers in May of this year, increasing 21% as compared to same period of last year.
As handled cargoes surpassed 110,000 TEU in May, the port had its third highest monthly results and handled 527,590 TEU from January to May of this year, representing an increase of 25% over last year. Incheon Port surpassed 500,000 TEU in July in 2004 and in June in 2005.
